Formerly the Wilmington Ice House, Polar Ice Wilmington is a single ice sheet skating facility that provides skating opportunities for the greater Wilmington area. From Public Skating and Learn to Skate, to Hockey and Figure Skating, our rink provides programming for multiple skating activities. We hope that you come and see us soon to enjoy the ICE!

Polar Ice Wilmington runs on Daysmart Recreation, a software program that allows you to view schedules, sign up for sessions, programs, and special events. SUMMER YOUTH HOCKEY OFFERINGS
CAROLINA HURRICANES FIRST GOAL PROGRAM
First Goal provides first-time participants (boys and girls) aged 5-10 with hockey equipment and the opportunity to enjoy instructional hockey sessions. (Saturdays 4 - 5 pm) - July 6, 13, 20, 27, Aug 3, & 10
Beginner Hockey Skills 11 & UP
This program covers the basics of the game including puckhandling, passing, shooting, and controlled game play for beginner players 11 & UP. Classes begin Saturday July 6th, 11am-12pm. FULL EQUIPMENT IS REQUIRED. Full sets of youth equipment can be purchased at the rink for $275+tax.
YOUTH HOCKEY SUMMER 2024
Beginning June 11th-13th, Polar Ice will offer supervised age specific pick-up games for the youth players throughout the summer. Players will be split into new teams each week. Space is limited, so we recommend registering in advance. Player cost is $15 and goalies are free (limited to 4). 8U/10U (ages 7-10) Tuesday's 6:00pm-7:00pm 12U Wednesday 6:00pm-7:00pm 13+ (ages 13-17) Thursday's 6:00pm-7:00pm
